Non-stop in an Avro Baby (9½ hours). Won the Britannia Trophy.
1921 – Sydney to Bundaberg
Non-stop (8 h 40 min) — Australian distance record. Landed near his family home.
1921–1926
Chief Test Pilot, A.V. Roe & Co. Also tested autogyros and served as reserve pilot for the British Schneider Trophy team.
1927 – England to Riga
Non-stop flight. Awarded the Oswald Watt Gold Medal.
1928 – First Solo England to Australia

1931 – First Solo South Atlantic Crossing
Flew a de Havilland Puss Moth from Canada via the West Indies, South America and across the South Atlantic.
